Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

I got the short end of the stick on this 1 as It can't be done for awhile. After doing the box, he has to spend some hours fixing the indings that are scattered around the box. Then we have to do the interior. He wants to keep the truck at his house for 2 weeks afteer painting it, so he told me he would call me in AZ when it was ready & I could fly home & put it in my garage or wait till we gt bck from AZ? In the meantime, I have a medical problem that could hold me here in MI. til around Christmas. We will see & keep you posted on the pics & details.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

Here are some more pics of the interior after putting in the floor deadner! Console is loose at the inside corners, so I'm taking it back to have him correct his mistake & going to redo the top that opens with more padding.

I was just redoing going through this thread and wondering the same thing. Seems to just go around the stock shaft. If that is the case I wonder how the door panel looks as well

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

I bought the P/W & P/D/L kit at the same time & from Elecrtic-lift. Their link is www.electric-life.com. The P/W is model 4101-09-P98 Colibri 3 Switch Universal Power Window Kit & the P/D/L/ is a model 95110 2 dr. MesCable Operated Power Door Lock Kit with 4 Channel Keyless Entry. The P/W seems to work great. The P/D/L hasn't been hooked up yet. Do u want the prices? Howard

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

That was my thought as well...how does a door panel fit on and how does the handle fit on? I am have billet handles to go on but they mount just like the factory ones....

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

I was busy tonight working on a cover for the gas tank. I bought a new 1 & decided not to use it. We built the top out with wood so we can put vinyl on the wood. If I get a chance tomorrow, I will slip the door panel on & take a pic for you. Howard

Here are the pics that you requested & I promised with a couple of others.
First is the gas tank cover that I made out of wood & covered it with matching vinyl. It also show how the bucket will finally set in place.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

Next is the pic. of my NEW relocated brake Petal. It seems the brake petal sits too high up so that I couldn't push it down without raising my leg up to my knee. WAY TO DANGEROUS! So we measured it down by taking a notch out of it & rewielding it & now it is correct.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

Finally a couple of the pics that you asked for. Your question was what would it look like after the DR panel was installed. Based on our play & research, the hole for the window crank would have to be enlarged for the cover to work correctly. We went to plan B. We made a cover that fit over the piece & it looks just fine, I THINK. T

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

Looks good. So the power kit just uses switches...was thinking it was one where it used a stock lever and moved 15 degrees to raise/lower....makes more sense now....

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

BY THE WAY, I have ordered a roll pan & have primed the rear bumper that is shown on page#1. I will be selling it & listing it with a bunch of other items under "For Sale" section. Here is the pic. of the bumper as it came off the truck. Next is what it looks like after primer!

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

This is the best pic I have of the console. It was sent back to the guy doing it as it wasn't glued down correctly & the top piece on the left which will open up has 1/4" foam on it & should of had 2" foam. He is awaiting the material to redo the top section. He had to order another yard & he is paying for that, as expected. Howard
