I figure that if people on the radio would catch hell for the full name of my truck, I probably shouldn't post it here either.

I'm thinking Orson will be a good name.....maybe Marmaduke

"the old blue pickup"
Not sure why we always call it that. We only have one pickup and so there is no need to refer to the colour but we seem to always do it.

i call mine "ole blue"! it was dark blue when i bought it, then became "the rainbow"(white, black, lite blue,2 shades of yellow, and 2 shades of grey). then went to a light silverish blue and earned the "ole blue" name back. got it torn down to the frame at this point. gonna paint it blue pearl metallic and put a big sticker on the back window "OLE BLUE"!!!!!!!! i have never called it a bad name in the past 6yrs i've owned it even though i've went through 8 motors and 4 trannys. although my wife calls it "the biggest piece of sh*t she has ever seen or rode in she is gettin into the resto with me! i guess i'm training her right?! lol

One of my coworkers, an older lady close to retirement, constantly referred to my truck as the "yellow banana", and it stuck!

my sister calls it POS, but I call it the beast
Ackattack, are we related? My kids call it "The Beast," but my wife refers to it as "the POS." She's just not into it.

I never really named it. Thought about a name, seeing all of those that members have posted in their signatures. I don't think a feminine name would fit. Something more masculine, for sure. I'll have to think on this one and select its most pronounced idiosyncrasy.

My kids named mine little red, although as a stock height long step it isn't too little. It is bright red though. My 63 Impala wagon is called the hot rod.

OCB

p.s. I guess the reason the truck is little is because I have a big International with a 16 foot dump bed (rated for 26000 pounds--it is big) that I named BUD--big ugly dumptruck.

We call mine the purple people pleaser. The other one is big red, but that is going to change when we start restoring it, might change the color to yellow then I guess will call it the canary.
