Hi All- New to the site, always heard lots about it, so I figured I'd join since I am a huge c10 freak. Some of you may know me from c10forum.. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and my truck.. Name is Christina.. from Sacramento, Cali.

Bought my 79 GMC in April of 2006.. Bagged it in November 2008, and re-tore it down for a bodydrop to rocker on 24's in Feb 2009. It's been down since then.. Slowly getting there. Have lots of plans for it as you can see. Took out the original 454 and turbo 400, purchased a 350 that I am rebuilding with Vortec heads, complete billet pulley system from Summit, gear drive, etc and a 4L60 to back that up. It's not going to be anything super special, just needed something that is better on gas to drive to shows with. Overdrive tranny will help as well! Frame is Z'd, building custom control arms, plan on doing a raised bed floor with a hatch that opens between the wheel wells to show off all the tubing work on my backhalf that took forever lol.

As far as cosmetics, full skin, shaved doors, possibly bigger back window, shaved side markers, and mayyyyybe one piece windows, but i've always been a fan of wing windows. And as I'm sure all the guys will hate this, but yes I am painting my truck HOT PINK.

Haven't been able to work on it too much lately since I bought a 65 Cadillac CoupeDeVille and bagged it.. but I'll post that in another thread. I'm sure I'm forgetting tons of stuff.. But I'll stop rambling now and just show the darn thing... Here he is.. my baby..

It'll only let me post 5 pics at a time.. So I'll start with as she sits right now and the Z and backhalf..
how did you get the primer to look like that ive seen it a bunch and always wondered

It's called guidecoating. All it is, is primer and then rattle can over it. Just don't hold the can too close or you'll get uneven or darker spots...

I don't have any straight on pictures of it. But here are some of the front..
Here are a couple pics of my brother's old scalloped one.. doesn't have it anymore..
The mirrors on my truck aren't stock, they are the aftermarket reproduction ones that LMC makes.. Here's a pic of em in the catalog...

Wow, those 24s are very close in there. I assume you are not running any inner fenders at all?

I'll probably run some type of sheetmetal inner fenders.. verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry thin ones tho.. hahaha

And yeah they are close. TOO close. haha
The overall diameter of my 24's on 255/30/24's is 30.02". To clear it had to be under 31"..

Okay.. so this isn't really an update on my truck.. but it's really funny.
I bought a lifted truck last week and it came with a camper shell (yuck) on it. So had a few friends help me take it off and they thought it'd be hilarious to set the shell on my c10 and make it a blazer.. they actually ended up loving it and want me to make my truck a blazer now.. haha NOT GONNA HAPPEN.. but I figured I'd share the funny pics with you..

Here's the new truck with the camper on...

Here it is on my truck.. (yes it doesn't line up perfectly.. but you get the idea)

And here it is off the new truck.. MUCH better

Yes it does have a straight axle swap, 1 ton axle conversion, 4:88 gears, all 4 wheel disc, throttle body spacer, the list goes on.. lol. It's got an 8" lift on 36.5"s. Got a killer deal on it.. body is straight as hell too.

Haha.. yeah I like it on there too, just not my style.. and yeah.. it might be 87ish.. but I wouldn't know, that was the year I was born hahaha.

Thanks for the feedback.. I think it being hot pink is the thing I'm excited for most. Although I'm kinda nervous with the po-po's, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
