Yeah, I could'nt resist the temptation. I even got the backspacing right thanks to your info in "Blank Slate".

Redbaron,
Yes, my GMC is coils, I think there are a couple of pics that show the coils.

You might want to look at a 255/50-17 tire for your truck.
A 60 series tire (in 17's) is huge, for a lowered truck.

Keith,

You may be right, My truck is lowered 2.5 in. in the front and 3in. in the rear.
I'll look into it. I have not bought tires yet, so there is still time to get this right. Thanks for the tip.

Ok, I ordered Falken Ziex S/TZ-01 size P275/50R-17 for the rear and
P255/50R-17 for the front. I think this may work. Thanks for the Heads-up.

Can't wait to see some updated pics of when you get the tires in, and then mounted.

I also went by Bumbera's, they had the rear Trailing arms cleaned-up, painted and new bushings installed. They were bolting up the new Inner Fenders when I got there.......

Re: 1969 GMC Short Fleet Build

You did good with your tire choices.
I was going to suggest the 275's for the rear,... but alot of people want the same size on all four corners.
I like your choice better.

Same here. I prefer a little bigger in the rear to make it look right on these trucks.

Yeah, I think I'll get maybe 25,000 mi. out of them. Thats fine for a play truck. You say a 468 cu/in?, what is that, a punch out big block?.....wow, it must be a lot of fun.

Keith, I also like the stance with the slightly bigger tire on the rear. If you had not said something, there would have been 60 series tires mounted right now. Thanks again.

Thanks to all of you that posted for the encouraging comments.

Those turned out nice Dale... and I'm in agreement with Keith, spot on with the tire selection.

Ok......Progress pics on Sat. 3-27-2010. The rear end is pretty much back together. The front end is starting to come together. The new inner fenders are complete.

Probably about $50.00 for the set including the tires. Let me know when you list them.

Re: 1969 GMC Short Fleet Build

Treading close to these parts being offered for sale, and I'd hate to see this beautiful truck thread locked.

Can't wait to see you subscribe to the board!

Do they have an expected time for the install/suspension to be completed?
