Its a outdoor patio furniture paint. Yes It has texture to it. You can buy it at Wal-Mart. I was going for something different on this one. Thanks

Re: New Project Chevy AD truck

Looks great 48, I really like the colour and finish of the interior.

Please forgive my ignorance on paint types and painting processes but can you tell me what type of paint the outdoor furniture paint is (more detail if you have it), what lengths you went to to prep the dash, how many coats and did you clear.

Thanks

The paint is made by rustolem (not sure I spelled that right) They sell it at walmart. I used around 12 cans for everything I sprayed. I basically scuffed the dash and cleaned it really good and started spraying the paint. Went on and is holding up real well.

Re: New Project Chevy AD truck

sweet truck!

I like the bag setup, I was going to bag mine, but I didnt want to get into notching the rear. I think our trucks are similar in height (sure felt like I was looking at my build when I saw your trans tunnel!!)

Does it lay the floorboards without a notch in the back? Did you just use cups up front in stock control arms?

Yes the front is cups with stock control arms. The rear is not notched when the bags are flat and the running boards are touching the ground the axle touches the frame. I had the bags mounted behind the axle that was the only way to do it and get it to lay without notching.

Re: New Project Chevy AD truck

I like it, might have to copy that in the future if I decide to bag mine later on. Were the bag mounts you used part of a kit or something you had made up? Looks pretty simple like a bar across the top of the frame with top mounts, then tabs off the axle with control arms to center it all? (sorry Im a NEWB to airbags)

Yes I ordered all of my brackets they come pre made. I order all of my air ride stuff from Sunny at Newmaticsinc.com He has very fair prices and good customer service. I just ordered my second kit from him for the project I just started.

The wheels are 20 x 8.5'' and I cant remember what backspace I ended up with on them. I think its the standard backspace they come with.
