Re: 70 Short Stepside

Everything seems to fit really well. I am pleased with the way it turned out. The only issue is the bottom of the door is bowed. It is flush with the rocker in the center and bowed a little at the font and the back. Any suggestions? I will probably let the paint guy deal with it.

Re: 70 Short Stepside

Thanks everyone. Karl, I lived in Longview back in 88-89. I have a sister and her family that still live there, near lake Cherokee. Her oldest daughter is also an aggie, junior this year.

Re: 70 Short Stepside

Went by the painters yesterday, cab is looking great. He has tweaked some of my patches and I think it is going to come out nice. I installed the blazer tank and started disassembling my bed.

Re: 70 Short Stepside

No news from painter, but I have been working on the rest of the truck. Rebuilt carb, new hei, new radiator, buttoned up everything getting ready to start it.

Re: 70 Short Stepside

Built this box today to start engine and also to monitor gauges. Worked great. Turned engine over without fire on coil until oil pressure came up. Fired the coil and engine started on first turn.
