Re: Fastest car you've ever been in?
Of all of the quick/fast cars I've driven or rode in- modified Camaros and Mustangs, a 400whp Evo, BMW M5's, built aircooled VW's, etc... the only one that really stand out is my friend's Ford Festiva with a 1.8 swapped in from an Escort GT, and a big turbo at 20 psi. It's making around 280-300 hp and only weighs about 1750 pounds. He regularly chases down C7 Vettes on road courses with it. I got to drive it a few months ago and I've never been in anything that pulled that hard at 120+

Re: Fastest car you've ever been in?
Fastest top speed was in my dads 2001 corvette he had a while back. We were going through the Nevada desert on the 93 on a "closed course" and he said go ahead punch it. If I recall I saw 164 mph but like others stated when you are going that fast on a two lane highway your eyes are focused straight ahead! The car with the most power I have driven is my uncles 55 chevy with a Scott Shafiroff 565 big block chevy thing is wicked fast too scary for me as a passenger...

Re: Fastest car you've ever been in?
.
Well...I am sure glad all you are still around to gab about your top speeds! I'm certain that many, many are NOT. Maybe a moment of silence for them eh? . . .... My daily driver is one of those that doesn't really feel fast because it is so d@mn refined. However once you finally realize just how fast you are going it becomes clear how refined it truly is. But, alas, my top speed came on two wheels back in my teen years. BTW I too am certainly very lucky to be here typing away on this keyboard having survived those teen years on that bike. I regularly travel in the 90-110 range here in DFW on the major expressways/tollways in my travels about. Mind you this isn't uncommon around here though and as at least one other has mentioned, I maintain my tires well and have my hands all over the car often enough to know it is safe at those speeds. I'm hoping you all do the same before you go on high speed runs please. -klb

As far as fasted,Richard Petty Experience!! OMG!! Best time ever!
We made 176 and it was just like Days of Thunder!! Loved it! As far as "Quickest", 9 second Fox body Mustang on nitrous! Never been pinned in seat like that one.
