That looks great. I haven't seen any wiper arm covers. BTW, looks like you could use a new windshield.

Idk, when i took mine in they said they could do it, but i would have to install an antenna somewhere on the truck cause there's didn't have them, and to get it was special order. and that was from Decker auto glass, which is pretty much the only glass guys we have.

Massey Ferguson black. I like the durability of the industrial paint. This truck will be used for hauling as well as to cruise in. Not looking to make a rat rod truck, more of a tactical-swat look

You can get windshield with antenna part#DW848 or without Part#DW850, most trucks had the antenna in windshield, but some were radio delete work vehicles which had no antenna. I'm a auto glass/ body tech at chevy dealership. I was installing glass in these trucks since the early 80's.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here are a couple pictures of my baby. He is a 1976 Silverado trailering Special.
2wd 1/2 ton long bed. 454 with a automatic. This truck was special ordered by my grandmother in 76 and has never left the family. I partially restored him a few years back. Now that I have him in my full possesion full time I am going to finish him right. I have all of the origional trim on order and that will make him stock other than the rear bumper. The all white paint was a special order for the year also. Everything works perfectly from the dual battery system to the A/C.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

transamman78 that is a very nice truck you have there! When you do decide on restoring "him" just make sure you take pictures of everything and make a build thread on here. Im sure everyone would love to see it including me! Oh and welcome from Texas!

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Thanks. Actually the only thing I need do do is put the origional trim on and clean up the suspension. We did a frame off about 4 yeaer ago but for some reason they put the different trim on. I will posat pics of the interior and engine bay next. I am thinking about putting the centercaps of of a late 60's camaro on him just to make a little change on the wheels. I think they should fit my origional wheels.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I noticed the front fender trim had squared corners instead of rounded, and I don't remember ever seeing that before, other than that and no black or gold stripe on the trim it looks original enough to me.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Nice truck. Had me in a 30 second stare trying to think what was plain as day 'different' until my mind engaged on the mirrors being tucked inward instead of outward! Nice touch!

Definitely a 'keeper' to enjoy!.
