Nice job but what happens when you (or the next owner) has to replace a rotor for whatever reason??? No thanks. Consumable items are not ones I want to have to modify each time a replacement is needed.

I have basically given up on these ever being a bolt on, no mod deal. Too bad...

What's a "next owner"? Not familiar with that term. Do some people actually sell their vehicles?

Im not either. I am not putting all the effort and $$ into this just to sell it.
Besides, most people know when you buy a "custom" vehicle from someone, you have to expect that replacement parts will NOT be oem or you might have to "fabricate" parts to make them work.

Exactly. Everyone here would be driving stock vehicles (not that there's anything wrong with that) if they were terrified of having to modify something to make it work. Yeesh.

BTW, the rotor looks great! Mind if I ask what it cost to have the work done? Looking for a standard of comparison if I start pricing out the job around here.

I had a local guy do it here. He reminded my of Smokey Yunick. Just real nice old time mechanic.
Anyway, he just charged me $40. He originally was going to charge me $30 but because I already installed the bearings he didn't want to remove them so it took longer to machine them.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

finally got all four. didnt go through the group buy though. rears have a 1 inch spacer and i used a grinder to bevel the front with a 1/4 inch spacer to clear the cap.

18s or 20s? I'm not a good judge of these things from pics. What revision on the wheels if 20s, -2AA or -3AA?

Can you post some more pics of the way the rear looks from different angles? I'm thinking of using a 1" adaptor in the rear but I don't know if it will work with a 7" drop. Thanks for any help.

Whoa. Seems like that's gonna come down right on the tire the first time you hit a bump. I've got 1" spacers I was planning to use when the time comes (assuming I ever get my front wheels) but wonder if I'll need to reconsider my options.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

it actually clears pretty decent. ive been running around town with the old wheels/tires in the bed and a full tank of gas and no rubbing yet. the dude at discount talked to the boss rep and was told alot of wheels are shipping now. you might get hooked up soon.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Damn, don't think it will clear a 7" drop without hitting the tire. I'll be running 295's. I've got some 1/2" spacers sitting here also, so I guess I will just have to find out when the wheels get here.

About them shipping.....don't hold your breathe. I called over 2 weeks ago to cancel my order and was told the "order" was already sent to the warehouse. Was also told I would be called back when they find out something from boss if they are shipped or not, no calls. Called all day today....no answer.

From everything I've read, 1/2" spacers are going to require longer studs.

I got the rear suspension on the Blazer on last week and now have the rear wheels in place. I am still working on getting all of the front suspension replaced on the front, but it's coming along .

You will have to measure it. From backing plate to backing plate.

Hello got a set of these wheels in today, that are the 18" version. What lugs everyone running on these? Mag style lug nuts or acorn?

Thanks

By mag style I'm assuming you mean the shank style. These use acorn (tapered seat).

That makes it the width of a 71-72 rearend.
