all the NOS door rubbers and latches are in for this, we will be putting all the NOS molding on the truck as well before we paint just to make sure it fits right

Sharp line on the cab, and left the seam.

Re: off it goes

sharp line will be knocked down to look more factory, just not done yet. Definitely left the roof seam, to fill that seam properly requires removing the inner roof panel and didn't want to get in to that.

Re: off it goes

I started to fill it, my 73 had lead or something that kept catching on fire. So the b pillar got filled and rear was left alone, looks terrible

Re: off it goes

yeh most guys just think they can fill it in with weld....but what they forget is that there is a bonding agent in there from the factory that reacts when you try to weld. The only proper way is to remove the inner structure in the cab to get to it, which I didn't want to do, plus I like the factory look of the line...

Looking very nice as always. Why the tape and paper in the recessed panels in the back of the cab? To help keep the lines?

Thanks for the compliments guys.......paper is in the recessed area because we don't want the filler primer in there, too much work to block those areas that aren't necessary .

Re: off it goes

I like the squared off corners on the back of the cab. Are you leaving that way or going to re-radius that area?

Re: off it goes

I've been watching this thread for awhile.

I am totally amazed at the time, talent and treasure it takes to go to THIS level.

You've coming up on 7 years since the start. Is it difficult to say, "enough is enough"?

Do you ever step back and say, "this thing is never gonna get done"?

How do you keep motivated? Do you ever wish you never started?

The quality of work is mind blowing! I can't wait to see it "done".
