Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

Does anyone know the best way to clean up the original trim? My truck has most of the pieces and I don't want to order a new set after seeing the price.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

Well, it's been awhile but I finally have an update. A few weeks ago I pulled off the intake and heads to do some painting, and my head gaskets were toast. So, I ordered a new gasket kit for the engine and have been working on that. It took me a long time, but between school and bad weather I didn't have a lot of time to work on it. I got the engine reassembled today and hopefully I will run it tomorrow, if not Monday. The engine is repainted and it looks really good. I also got the driver side of the bed, cab, fenders, grille, and driver door are stripped to bare metal and the tailgate and passenger side are almost ready, so I will be primering this week if the weather is nice. I'll post some pics of the engine tomorrow because I can't find my camera right now.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

Haha yeah I know. Well, I still can't find my camera but I haven't given up yet... Everything is put back together but the engine still doesn't want to fire. We aren't quite sure what the problem is so we are going to take another crack at it tomorrow because we were getting kind of frustrated. . As for the primer, every time it is warm enough to do it, it gets cold and rains again haha so hopefully this week end. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some pics for ya and the engine will be up and running again.

Yeah I have been seeing more people from Cali too. I've got a steel bed floor. Got any pics of yours?

I ordered a new driver side rocker panel yesterday and my brother started cutting the old one out today. We found some more rust unfortunately so I am going to need to do a little more work then I thought, but hey, atleast I'll be getting it fixed. I'll post some pics in a few minutes (found my camera haha)
