Thanks guys! Ive been sidetracked on another project so i haven't done much on the truck in a little while but i did manage to patch/fix some rust issues on my drivers fender. This fender wasn't to bad so i didn't need to replace the bottoms!

Things got slow once my wife sent my boy out to help!

I also tried my hand at recreating some of the rust/patina on the bottom of the fender. I think it turned out pretty good and i will do the rest once the truck is complete and back together! Heres the pics of that area i focused on start to finish.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Ok finally got some time to update! I've been working on and off the truck for a little while so progress is slow! I've managed to finish all welding and body work on the cab! I put it into epoxy and high build primer/sealer and blocked where i needed to to get it ready for paint! I'm realizing I'm doing a lot of overkill for the patina truck i want to end up with but it will at least have a solid good quality foundation! Heres some pics of the cab metal work finished/ground.

wow! That is some impressive metal work. Looking forward to the rest of the project. I also have a dark green truck. You don't see too many of them in this color. Yours is some definite motivation!

Thanks! I'm using PPG Omni acrylic enamel I find I could get a good match and it blends pretty good once sanded and cleared with a Matt finish.

Little late to the build, but your work is top notch. I really like the spots you chose to fix patch the dash, way less finish work involved in those spots!

Thanks! Ya i figured those spots were perfect as there mostly covered by the glove box, dash pad or gauges.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Today was a good day as i started tearing down the doors and i also finally got some parts in that I've been trying to track down since i got the truck! My big concern was finding a tailgate with the right patina! Thanks to a fellow member on here that lead me to a seller! I paid a good buck for it but when i finally saw it in person it was worth it as the match is perfect!

I also got a pile of trim! I was actually only looking for 2 pieces to change some damaged ones. I also wanted used ones to match the rest but i ended up having to buy a whole pile of it! Also got my nicely used and rusty center caps to go with my 15x8 wheels! One of them is in a little to good shape but i will fix that up and make it match! lol

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Got back to the doors today! I stripped all the guts out and have all new internals on order (LMC) Doors are nice and solid with some light rust but a lot of dents/damage at the bottom. I didn't want to go to crazy with fixing the damage but i did want to stop the rust so i cleaned it up and put the Por15 to the test again! (if it doesn't last then i will change out the bottoms) After the Por 15 dried i sanded them down and put a nice topcoat of green and clear over it.

Nicely done! I'll follow this along too. I've never seen that much re-pop metal go down without any drama. See guys installing all this x-bracing and such to hold it true but the doors still don't fit worth a sh!t. I didn't read the whole thing but did notice that you have six lug wheels? Thought you were using the '72 stuff?

Thanks! Yup there's a lot of aftermarket metal there! Aftermarket stuff always needs to be worked/tweeked to fit but for the most part it fit pretty decent! Ive seen a lot of x-bracing too and a lot of it is overkill! I tried to do the cab alittle different by removing the floor section while keeping the original rockers as lower braces. I used my rotisserie door bars as the upper braces. Doors alighn perfect (so far) lol. I do have the 72 five lug stuff but I think I've decided to keep it 6 lug. I like the narrower diff to run a fatter/deeper dished wheel. I think I'm going to buy the 6lug disc conversion for the front and see how the deep 15x8 looks all the way around?
