That looks like the brake job on my Mustang when I got it. P.O. had no idea what he was doing.

Re: Post your WTHeck? Pictures
Good to know. Me neither. But the late night coming home from Fells Point bars (Google that) when my friend ran over a gearbox in the road and trashed his front end I did get tired of no one picking us up hitchhiking home. I looked across the hiway at the tall grass in an open field and started heading that way. All the while my buddy following asking "What are we doing?"... "Going over here". "Why are we going over there?"... "You'll see". As I was sitting down he asks "What are you doing?"... "Going to sleep". "We can't sleep here"... "Watch me". I think he was still talking as he did the same, but I was already out

At Burning Man, your guess is as good as mine. Found info about the above yard art. Guess it was at Burning Man once.

Re: Post your WTHeck? Pictures
Looks like we caught them in the act or doing some sort of mating ritual! I figured this was at some business with roll-offs either for drop-off service or something like a scrap yard by the fleet colors on trucks and container. Pretty smart way to have fun at Burning Man, then back to place of business, all the while promoting their business. Probably a tax write off as well!
WTH is exactly what I thought when I saw this thing in the Mt Airy Safeway parking lot. I'd think that seeing it anywhere, but never seen such "style preference" in these parts before nor since. Never seen this one since, either. Hopefully just an out of town visitor.

Re: Post your WTHeck? Pictures
I wish I were tough enough to hold a soldering iron like that.
And I can see why the "expert brake service" is so expensive. Those are some high-priced parts, not to mention the labor it would take to make them work.

Re: Post your WTHeck? Pictures
Those have to be joke pics, right? Right?
I worked at Hughes Space and Comm back in the mid-'90s. There was a photo in one of the buildings, in a hallway, with a guy using calipers to mike a nut on a section of coaxial cable. They all take a 5/16" wrench for that size coax. I spread the joke around about "precision adjustable Crescent wrenches", after that. It was a pretty obviously photographer-requested pic, like the one above with the gal holding the soldering iron at the business end. Those two with the breaker box must be modern art...right!? Though I must admit I've seen some things done to vehicles that lead me to believe that it must be true. When I worked at a parts store in '77, we had a "mechanic" complain about how the vacuum hose and clamps we had supplied him didn't work...on the brake line he was trying to repair. I kid you not. I got sent out to see what the problem was, and he was actually doing just that. Every time he pumped the brake pedal, the vacuum hose came off. Wild.

Re: Post your WTHeck? Pictures
Let me say this ,, if the truck had of came out that way ,, I bet I would of either liked it ,,Or,, liked it better after getting used to it..It is cool ,,, maybe if we didn't have the acual one to compare it to,,then maybe it would of been a collector truck today .
I have found that a lot of cars I DID NOT Like when they came out ,,but now seem to like a lot of them.. of course a couple never would of changed my mind <<:The Grimlin" is only cute now to me.. I remember when the first 67 Chevy truck came out and I thought it reminded me of a International truck look ,, I did not like it ,,but after awhile it grew on me ,, Know what I am saying ?

Re: Post your WTHeck? Pictures
I'm almost positive that is Glenwood Canyon, I-70. Then again, I've never driven I-80. But I would be surprised if there's another stretch of interstate that looks so similar. And, I do recall something like that rockfall happening on I-70 some years ago.
My dad was an ironworker for 30+ years and the Glenwood Canyon highway was a project he worked on for almost two years. We lived in Rifle, downstream from Glenwood Springs. If you've ever seen Vanishing Point (the 1971 version) you can see a few scenes of what the canyon looked like before the interstate went in! Pretty good movie, for a drug-addled 1970's muscle car movie.

[QUOTE='63GENIII;8474685]I truly think those things are what took out the dinosaurs!
That road reminds me of I-70 coming out of Grand Junction. We used to drive that way once we decided that it was usually better weather that way as opposed to I-80. Used to make that trip once a year around Thanksgiving to see my Father in law in Loveland. {{{My mistake ,,it was I-70 the wife and I left Denver right after a 20 inch snow fall kept us there extra days visiting our daughter}} [QUOTE=joeydurango;8479995]I'm almost positive that is Glenwood Canyon, I-70.
