The bareness of our motors astonish kids I think. There's no wires or plastic hiding everything. That, and a Chevy Orange block makes things apparent.

mine is floresent green.lol most of my friends have no idea what they're lookin at anyway. they're like whats a carb, then i just point to the little silver thing then they still dont know what it is. its so fun to mess with my friends. everyone there knows me for the truck im the only one in the area with a seafoam green that ive ever seen. some of the guys at school give me grief for drivin it cause they dont like chevy. i gave'em a ride home one day... now they are ok with chevy. 454 POWER

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I'm a senior in high school. Just rebuilt my engine myself and am currently in the paint stage. Probably taking it to get it painted Friday. Hope to drive it to school at least a month or two before I graduate.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
everyone says the same thing about my plow truck, now i know it's not pretty but it takes a beating with a plow and wheeling and it's been good to me. they don't believe me when i say the only rust on the truck is in the bed because it's 8 different colors. they think my 67 is a piece of junk too when they hear me say 1967 chevy but when i show them pictures they tend to shut up.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
im 17, drive my truck from the second the snow melts, until the the snow falls and stays.. yeah i drive it through some light snow, but it gets a little hairy at times.
bought the truck, it needed a motor and tranny, but the body was really nice (what you see there is how it came) i tore the motor out and built a pretty bad 383 stroked that dynoed just a hair under 450 hp, and bolted that to a T350 with a shift kit. i drive the truck to school, work, and the cottage on weekends. I tow the race car to the track on saterday nights, and then cruise the beach on sundays. i get mixed reactions at school, all of the girls are really into it, some of the guys tell me they hate the color, id say they are just jelous anybody going to be at the car show in myrtle beach this weekend? I'm going to be there, unfortunatly w/o my truck, as it was still snowing when i left canada on march break..

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I'm home schooled, most of my friends dont understand my 84. My home school school mate rode with me once, I did 2 burnouts and he said both were weak. I found out later, he thought they were "weak" because I didnt do a wheelie...kids these days need serious help.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
man there are more high schooleres then i thought!, at my school my trucks arnt the oldest in the lot
i know he wont post up on here but my neighbor and good buddy is a senior and a member here he is 53'GMC he really dont get online much here are a couple pictures of my 68 c20 when i first starte drving it to school in 10th grade, and one of my senior pics with my 71 that i will start driving as soon i tune it up once i get it out of the shed it got buried in by the snow plow i dont have any real 0-60 times for any of my trucks, the 68 c20 toped out at about 100 but it took a loooong time to get there the 71 k10 will leave burnout marks for 2.5 blocks, and ive never even driven my 68 k10 but im hoping to get it going before school lets out to show off the truck everyone has heard about all year some of you guys have some really nice rides!

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
im 18 and a senior in highschool.. got my truck back in 1999. used to be my dads daily driver. then he rebuilt motor and trans in about 04.. then since that he started parking it more and more and had a for sale sign in it.. i went out ripped it up and threw it at him. and on my 16 birthday he handed me a box and it was the keys to the 72.. its in pieces right now.. a board member and i have done the rust on the cab (rockers, corners, floor) thanks daren, so its not my daily driver.. my daily is a 00 eclipse.. here is a few senior pics of my 72
had to trick out the car somehow... i got a 7 color underglow kit..

I'm not exactly sure I can put it into the right words, but I'll try; "You youngbloods are doing us old farts proud."
Keep up the good work & all y'all will go far in life. You're showing a drive that seems to be missing in a lot of the younger crowd. Just the .02 from some really old guy. LJ.
