Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

Here is a pic. of the front all done. Notice that it has the "clear" park light lens & the red chevy emblem is now painted to match the color of the truck. Neat hugh?! It also had the new hedlights installed.

We got the Roll Pan installed & it looks good. (Pic.1) Also got the call & ran up & got the console & it now is finished. (Pic 2) is console before. Notice the gaps in the corners & 1/4" padding on the top. & (Pic 3) is console finished! He stiched the corners & replaced 1/4 padding with 2". Looks alot better.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

It ws the big day Sat. as we installed the console, bucket seats & tied them down along with the seat belts. I then DROVE IT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!! My man needed the room to work on the box, so "Finally" now sits in my garage. After the box is done, this week, I will drive it back up there so we can put it back together. I tried to get a pic. of the interior,BUT,it is too dark in the garage & the interior is all black. Will try again tomorrow to get a decent pic of the interior.

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

FINALLY BACK from AZ & HERE WE GO AGAIN. While gone, I bought a t/gate from Craigslist & had it sent to Jerry. Very unhappy camper as the bottom of T/Gate had many holes in it that never showed up in the pics that he sent. He had a friend that was going to get me a RPO T/Gate & that deal fell through. I ended up buying 1 from LMC & it is going to be switched over to a inside release latch & he is working on that this week.
We hooked up battery & looked at the key, started right up!!!!!!!!! I now await the rework & painting of the box with the new T/Gate on it. We are also going to mix the paint with the spray liner that the inside box will have. Should really look good & yes, I will take pics. after it is done. Long post.sorry about that, BUT eager to get it done now. Howard

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

Finally, the other part is done? The t/gate is not on for whatever reason,BUT it is a plain one that I bought from LMC when I got back from AZ & it has the handle relocated to the inside. The game plan is to mix the liner with the paint so that the box will match both in & out the box & still have a liner in it. My man was taught the system & I quess I was his first one. YES, the liner is now in as shown & is mixed with the paint How does it look?

Re: Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!

I put the title as Sitting 10 yrs & finally started!!, but I didn't think it would another 10 to get it together. LOL! We have the box finished & complete!! We are setting up Wensday to perform the marriage of the box & the rest of the truck! Then it will be a matter of hooking up the harnesses & the inside fender flares & little details. Here are the pics of the box with the T/G installed. I will ask for closeup pics of the liner, also.
As mentioned, we did a relocation of the T/G latch to the inside. What you think? Can't upload pics? Will try again later!

Color looks awesome. What a great idea for the bed liner the same color. Good job on the build, it always takes longer than you think.
