My motor was haveing to run to rich with that Team G intake with the 2" Dominator adapter I had to use so I had to go with a low rise dual plane intake but she's ready. I could have ran the other intake but it would have disrespected the people behind me in traffic. It would burn your eyes it was so rich and when I leaned it out the most I could it still burned your eyes and also had a real bad stumble. I tried running my timing up but my motor would run a little on the warm side so I just took it off but when I get a different set of heads it will go back on, lol. Let me know about the Rod Runs and also Hart_Rod has a super deal on a radiator on here for our trucks.

Re: Doing alot of upgrades

WOW, it's been awhile!! Well, here is the engine after I made the changes. I have done some front end work and a little interior work but mostly just enjoying driving it. Anyway, I had to change intakes out and go with a dual plane and also had to put a fuel regulator on it. Here are the pictures of the engine and I will try to get the pictures of the other work posted later tonight.

I'm not sure of your cam specs but the new intake should be much better for street driving.

It is Specmaster Blue on the dash and I don't know what color blue the carpet is as I bought it off one of our members. I will post pictures of it tomorrow hopefully.

Re: Doing alot of upgrades

Well I'm back again LOL. I had a noise comming from the right side when I turned left. I thought it was a wheel bearing so I jacked her up and this is what I found making the noise.

That was a close call. I just cleaned everything up and put a new upper control arm, bushings and upper ball joint in.

Re: Doing alot of upgrades

So after getting that little booger fixed I drove it around a little untill the door panels I bought from a member came in and I decided it was time for Ole Blue to have a face lift. Here is the only two I could find but no pictures of the old door panels. Anyway, they were black and the dash pad was cracked up black.

Re: Doing alot of upgrades

Well it's been awhile so I thought I would post some updated progress on Ole Blue. I got the floor pans done and the used carpet put in. I laid some old phone books on the new dash pad to help level it out. I bought a new aluminum radiator & shroud and got it put in but still like my cap & braided overflow line. I think my next addition is going to be a/c, I think, hope etc... but that will be after the Rod Runs coming up in a few weeks. Anyway, here are some pictures

And with the new radiator in. The top chrome cover is for a '67 Chevelle and it fits our trucks perfect! Just drill four holes, tap the hole on the left side as you can't get a washer & nut on the bolt and you're set

I can't beleive you've been here for 8 months and I'm just now noticing you're not that far from me. We need to meet up sometime. In fact, look HERE for an upcoming meet & greet at Woodridge's place.

Anyway, the engine looks great. Hopefully we can meet up at the rod run in a few weeks.

Hey Christopher, hows the search for a Nova coming? I still need to get with you about the Gov-Lock conversion. I can't beleive I've been letting it sit this long.

Hey Matt, how you been? I actually am working on a s10 v8 swap. I sold the 72 to a good home. Got me a sound s10 shell and I have been slowly converting it. Definitely need to come on down this way. Camaronut lives about 15 minutes from me.

Hey Bama, it came from Cool Craft along with the radiator. Man, they are awesome people to deal with & super quality. I bought one of those temp. caps & my BB is running a steady 160 degrees according to the gauge inside & the cap.
68Stepbed that sounds like a plan. Just PM me or let Bama know & he will get in touch with me. Thanks for the compliment on the engine.
