I read that I could have swapped out the oil, but with all the other issues decided to just get the correct compressor. Hard lines are VA. I did all the hoses using a Mastercool crimper.

Back and corner panels upholstered and installed. Have a few wrinkles because of extreme changes in angle and curvature, will try steaming it later, but no biggie they are on the bottom of the speaker bump and the seats will hide them most of the time. Got some nuclear grade headliner adhesive from local hot rod upholstery shop, works great. All hidden fasteners except for three along the bottom of the back panel. Now I just need to find some nice fishing rod holders.

Looks great Orrie, but I've gotta ask, what are the three big openings for? How is it that they can't be seen after the material is on there? Is it just that the material is stretched tightly?

Material is mounted to a piece of 3/16" plywood with up angled wood blocks that match down angled blocks on back of frame. PW slip up so angles are engaged to pull it tight at top, screws hold it tight at bottom. Corners have pieces that slip behind the center frame and are screwed to tie all together. I did the sub frame to have something to screw to for rod holders, possible future storage box, etc.

modified the pitman arm to move two splines towards frame. Shortened the drag link to get minimum length. Picked up a lot more rotation but still about 1/4" off of the spindle bump stop with 215R75-16 tires. If I can find some 205R85-16 I can maintain the diameter I want and they should clear. The guy that did the modification originally is running 84ish axles and they cleared with 235r75-16 tires so geometry of the axle must be a little different.

i learned that paint grade vs vinyl or cloth is a world of difference
paint grade means hours of hand sanding and filling
vinyl/cloth is 1 coat, power sand and cover... easy peasy

Exactly, fabric over foam hides a lot. Or you can spend a lot of time on making molds and gelcoat/glas too!

Did the head liner. 1/8" masonite with 3/8" upholstery foam and fabric. Cut the masonite 5/8" larger than open on front, back and one side; 1/4" on other side and back about 3" on front and back. That is what lets you get one front corner in, then work around to the back and across. Then slid it back to center. Held the foam back about 3/4" and bevel cut the edge. Tight fit but with Ms. Joan's assistance got it wrestled into place. Hint: nitrile gloves help a lot in sliding it for fine tuning once it is wedged into the space. Just need to install the split trim (door protectiong edging), it is buried in one of the part boxes.

Door Panels. The stock raised metal accent will be metallic black to match the steering wheel , knobs and ac grille. Rest of panel will be silver birch to match the rest of interior. Arm rest is grey matching the seat leather, door handles stock chrome and black knobs.

Put some elbow grease into an old school back up light I got yesterday at a swap meet for $8. I wanted something that looked correct for the 50's. Allstate Brand, glass lense and good 50's American chrome came back with a little polishing. Cleaned up the electrical, rewired and works great. Just need to find a brighter bulb. Not shown is the rest of the bracket and mounting bolt. It will mount next to the license plate.

Also finished insulating the cab floor. You can also see one of the carpet templates, getting close to having the interior wrapped up.

Working on the carpet fitting. made a template but found it only worked to identify problem areas. Cut is wide and lined up the part across the brace and taped it. Then started on the passenger side add slowly nipped and tucked around the speaker pod, AC, and shifter. Wanted to see if it would lay over the hump, it does not, which is ok. Then fit around the gas pedal, steering column cover and speaker pod on other side. Will trim the step sides last. Also decided to make a panel to put in front of the fuse panel to hide the wiring and brake cable.

Yes it is a heavy duty commercial tight loop with built in soil release, etc. so it will be easy to clean. Better than the orange outdoor foam backed stuff I had in there before!
