Doing a project on your own like this sure gives me an appreciate of all the work that goes into it. Most anyone can rip off a check and buy a completed truck and then take all the credit for their exceptional taste, but nothing can buy the satisfaction you get from looking at a truck and knowing everything that went into it. It will all be worth it.

Love the fab work, as usual. Really cool!
Thanks Steve for the compliments. I have to do more than my fair share of re-dos that are my fault. The only conclusion I can come up with the tube was only releasing part of the activator intermittantly. Parts of it was cured but the majority of it wasn't.

Thanks Ryan, no big deal just wasted a few hours scraping picking and finally wire wheeling it out. Tomorrow I will shoot some new epoxy on the seam. Then I'm going to use Plio Grip by Vaveline

I sure hope so I don't want to screw with it again. I only chose Evercoat because I didn't want to spend $60 for a applicator gun.

Thanks for the tip Wade. I ended up using Valveline Plio Grip, it worked great.

I hear you Kyle. I haven't spent much time on the project lately. I did start on one of the doors. It's a learning experience to say the least. I'll try to get some new pictures soon. You don't have set of NOS doors for sale do your?

Re: 1969 Short Wide

This was my first time through your thread. It looks like it is going to be a slick truck. That stinks about having to redo the cab. Hopefully you're not like me, I typically mess something up then fix it and then realize that it looks like junk and I have to redo it to look better.

Hey Mike, nice to see you got the seams right. I'm with you on doing things over especially when it's being done right the first time. All you can do is what you did.... bite the bullet and do it over. It looks good now. keep movin foreward.

I can measure mine but it may not work with your setup. Have you talked to a driveshaft builder? They want you to measure from specific spots, from the center of the cups I think? Also it has to be sitting at ride height with the bed if possible. This is something you want to get right the first time if possible. I'll measure mine when I get the chance.
Working crazy hours right now, it's taking all my free time.
