The A-arm is cut and a pocket welded in to give you a 2" drop instead of having to run drop spindles. With 3" front springs it gives you a total of 5" front drop while still having good steering geometry.

I was under the impression that having drop spindles kept good steering geometry?

Yes, they do. Normally any drop lower than 3" without spindles causes all kinds of issues...these a-arms let you go lower w/out changing out the spindles. So it was an hour or so job to swap out the lower arms and springs vs. having to take off the spindles. There was no need to change the spindles since the 72 had good factory disc brakes on it.

Truck is now for sale on the board....5500 obo....

My buddy needs to sell because of unexpected bills...

Yep.....I really like this build. The truck has the perfect touch of patina. One of these days I will have to make the trip to see it in person!! Oh yeah, I may have a little somethin in the works for a patina ride too. Shhhhh.

Looks like you found a great project truck! I just stumbled across this listing elsewhere on this site and thought you might be interested as a possible way to fix the radio hack: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...4&postcount=33. If you've got the skills, you can't beat the price...

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver

Jason has lowered the price to 3500 obo now...a STEAL....there is 1500 just into the interior since I had it and 1000 in the suspension....and it's a TX truck with minimal rust and a strong 350 w/3 speed

If I didn't have 2 project trucks I'd buy it back but it's just bad timing...

It's a great price seeing how he has over 5K invested into it in the last year

I am trying to get at least one of my projects sold so I can buy it back from him I mean, I bought it for 3K did some work to it, polished and sealed the paint, and put in the camaro tach, the chrome and billet dash parts, and cleaned up the wiring,

then sold it to him for 4K. Then he put the new houndstooth covered bench seat, a nice stereo headunit, JL 12" subs with an amp, new 6x9's, a new carrier bearing, the drop A-arms and springs, and did general maintenance to it. Then he put a new performer intake and new carb on it.

So buying it for 3500 (or even less since it's OBO ) would be a steal again.

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver

I took it off but the next owner put it back on as he could never get the camaro tach to work right. Truck sold a couple weeks ago...just found out.
