Swapped on my old 38's so I could keep it mobile and tore down my other rims so I can take them to get powder coated tomorrow. I think I'm going to have them done in a flat white, what is yall's thoughts on color. The exocage will be white also.

I am biased, I have always favored white rims, not in spokes though

Yeah I just saw it. I would be afraid the black would kinda blend in with the tire. Just dropped them off at the powder coater. Going all white. Hope to get them back Friday.

Just got a call from the powder coater and he said in order for him to do my wheels in flat white it would cost $400 just to get the powder because he would have to by a 50lb box of it and in 20 years he has never done flat white before. Therefore he didn't want to buy it for his shop and only use 5lbs for my wheels. So I guess my wheels will be done in gloss white, but I'm sure the gloss will fade with a little dirt on them.

Ok, thanks. I'll look into that. First I'll see what they end up looking like. I would hate to spray something over them just to have it start flaking off later on. Cause thats what always happens when I try to paint something! lol. They may dull out on their own as well after some use.

Matte Finish Clear Coat is what alot of "Old Schoolers" are using on thier black Rat Rod's & Black Harley's to dull the paint, looks good for this application. Not sure what it would look look with white wheels ?

I just had him go ahead with the gloss white he had that way I could get them today and install them this weekend. I'm sure they will dull down some after some use. Just got back from picking them up.

I think I will paint all the nuts black and the hubs before install.

Finally finished up the my on board air system. And added my horn with a pull chain in the cab.

And my quick connect that is easy to reach with a pressure guage. Got it set to pump up to 140psi and kicks back on at 120psi.

And here is the tank that I built for it.

We made it back from Rednecks With Paychecks. Had a few issues but for the most part went well. Not a lot of wheeling to do down there so I only have a couple pictures.

One of the rock faces we played on.

And you couldn't avoid some mud.

Got some video of my buddies but none of my rig.

I had some electrical issues got most of that fixed. Was trying to winch a buddies dead rig out of the rock course and melted the side post out of my optima battery. And now my winch solenoid is stuck in the on position, but I already had a new one so I just need to stick it on. Took about 2 hours to wash that nasty ass mud off the rig. Got to get it ready for the Clayton Pirate meet and greet run coming up next month.

I have always read that you should not run your winch hooked up to the side post of a battery, but that's how I have been running one for years. This may have been the hardest I had ever winched before but this was the outcome.

Battery still works fine for now, I guess time will tell. Just running off the top posts for now.

Last time we were out I dropped off in a hole that was deeper than expected and my fan went into the mud. I had turned it off just before we hit but didn't realize mud filled up between my fan and radiator. When I turned it back on after coming out of the hole it fried the fan motor. I got it replaced and washed up this weekend.

What I found when I got my fan off.

New ford tauras fan installed.

I also wanted to drain my diffs to make sure there wasn't any water in them and that gave me a chance to paint my diff covers.

Pretty much have everything back to 100% and ready for our Clayton trip in April.
