Man if I could go back a few years haha i'm only 19 now but if I had started at his age phewwwy. If I had resources to back Logan I would, But my own "brand new" 66 still needs lots of love itself. He has plenty of support and praise from Las Vegas though!

Re: Whats up with Logan...

I found that looking at trucks and cars on TV, in real life, and talking to motivated people about them help get my juices going again!
If he had a good friend his age into cars and trucks that might help...
But then again you really can't get someone going if it just isn't there..

Yeah we have a place down the road called Street Dreams that has dozens of killer cars and trucks for sale. We're due for a visit. That place gets him going. As for friends, they love their "electronics" and sitting on their butts...lol...

Have to let the boy be a boy too, even if we are all waiting for updates on truck progress. Try to get a test drive in one of those cool trucks down the road that will get him going.

I agree whenever my auto dreams would kinda settle down dad always took me for a ride in the vette or the dually, and those creative motor head thoughts always came back with a vengenace. lol

Re: Whats up with Logan...

Just a quick update....
Logan has been saving for a V8 and tomorrow I'm picking him up after school and taking him to look at one. One of the guys that I know at a shop down the road call Street Dreams and knowing his budget wants to hook him up with an old school 283 with I think he said M/T valve covers, alum intake and better breathing heads. I'll get pictures and post them when I can. Heres the link to Street Dreams if anyone wants to take a look... http://www.streetdreamstexas.com/

Depending on cubic inches and weather it is running or not.....selling price ranges form different areas....I've seen motors like my 292 go for $500 in the east and something like it only go for $200 in my area. If it is running and the tranny is good...$250 - $500. If it is anything under a 250 like a 230 or 194 I would say $200 with the tranny. If it is a 250 or 292 then $300-500. $400-500 if it is running good and no more than $400 if it doesn't run.

On the inline 6, are the sidecovers 4 or 6 inches tall? If they are 4 inches tall it will be a 194-230-250....if they are 6 inches tall it will be a 292. Running is a good thing.

Re: Logan's 66 Build...With dad....With surprise video...

Welcome to Texas and the forum. I know that its been a while, but I just found your thread....

My Mom & Dad have a place just down the road from you. They are on HWY 290 east of Fredericksburg. Me and my boys where just down there a few weeks ago. What has happend on this build lately....Have your been to the wrecking yard in Stonewall? Last time I was in there they had a bunch of mid 60's trucks....

Anyway, I always enjoy Fatehr/Son projects....
