Re: project "never enough"

the color will be as of now rootbeer brown with white at the bottom, I really want to keep the old school look but have a modern style wheel...originally the wheels that went on Pops dropmember build were my #1 but i dont want to copy. Id do the one off wheel to Cheby but i dont even know what direction i want to go yet.lol

Re: project "never enough"

GREAT ..i will look forward to it , if you are following Mitch Hendersons lines a little with the color scheme why not go ahead and add some body color to the wheels, maybe do it on a Salt Flat wheel or something like that with the recessed areas color keyed ?

Re: project "never enough"

see I was thinking of doing the Bonspeed Laguna's with a color matched midle spoke or just the inside of the spoke so its not to loud. its possible the trim on the truck will be anodized or powdercoated satin black to break up to color...the chrome bumpers and polished wheels is shinny enough i think.

Re: project "never enough"

I think you need to do a rendering and once you choose the color and wheels stick with it. Or you will be taking 2 steps forward 1 step back

I just mean for the wheels. If you have Carter do one for you then you can put what ever wheels you want on it and see if you like them. You should post the rendering you have so we can see it

Re: project "never enough"

I agree a rendering will help, wheels are by far the toughest decision.

Re: project "never enough"

my wifes family is all here and after the years of her being homesick I took the bait.....now I have no project, had to sacrafice to make the move but im ready for another which I have lined up but I want Porterbuilt to build it as we have no type of room to do that here in VA...no word yet but hang in there and I should be hopefully having something that is tottally unique and different but need the experts to put it together.

Re: project "never enough"

well guys just found out we are having a baby!!!!!!!! years worth of trying and docs but finally has came thru.......sad part is i wont be building anything for some time as this is a godsent that money just can buy (technically) but I probably wont be on as much and this thread will be deleted today so I dont draw it out.....I had a really awesome project lined up and ready to go when this was dropped on me last night and this morning..
I want to thank everyone for all their support and encouragment thru this build, but unfortunately the last one for now...hopefully i will have something in the future but financially as most can understand is not in the books.
sincerally
Mike Stein, soon to be Daddy
