Thanks, man. I've been debating selling it, but then I'd have nothing to carry me and the lady off to the hinterlands, and I can't quite accept that.

Couple more.

Yeah it has the bed back on and a canopy now. I put new tanks , pumps, sending units, and selector valve in so I built this wood flat bed and drove it that way for awhile to make sure all was good. I didn't want to pull the bed twice. I need to post up some more current pics.

Sweet, I've always loved those SeaSports. Did a lot of cruising in a 22' explorer growing up.

Re: post up your camping pics

weather was beautiful yesterday, took the dawg & drove/hiked to the top of Mt Cheam, a local mt.
last time i was up there was in the early '90's when it was being logged. road has been de-activated, so they cross-ditch the heck outta it to save the road from the immense snows. eight miles in from the turn off, took a hour & a half....
bench rd to the turn

like a non-stop roller coaster, usually cross-ditches are a foot, these were 3 feet, 4 feet & sometimes more

first sight of the mt i'm looking for

getting closer....

they have blocked the road & made a parking lot- no one else around for miles. one good thing about the rd, it should keep the riff-raff & party hounds away so it should look like this in 20 more yrs....
when i was about 1/2 way down the mt, i met 2 young (and very fit!) ladies on their way up, they parked their car at the turn-off & had hiked all the way in.....on my way out, i noticed it was a volvo....

Re: post up your camping pics

an overnighter, not camping pictures- work actually, but was still a nice trip....
some guy in the bush built a shop & needed a roof, just over 200 miles away.
after driving for 2 1/2 hrs, we get to where we need to be, but we're on the north side of the river, & need to get to that mountain on the other side
Name: 730.jpg
Views: 906
Size: 52.4 KB

turns out we have to go 40 more miles, cross the river & then backtrack.
quite a steep narrow road up the mountain, especially with the work truck (S.Duty diesel crew with a 18 ft flatdeck trailer). right after this corner i put the camera down, part of the road slid down the mountain & it was about 6 ft wide (felt like 3...)

guy was really, really, REALLY sticky about his privacy, so i took no pics of our job or around his house, but i did walk to the other side of the lake & took a couple- i can see why he values his privacy, who would'nt love to live there......

Re: post up your camping pics

Cool shots. I used a roll bar mount accessory to mount my gopro on the mirror post on mine. I think I've got an extra pivot and flipped it around to make it fit with the right orientation. Fit tight and not coming off on the rough stuff.

thanks bilfman!
bigfoots are sweet campers, would have liked to got one, but around here they don't come up for sale often, & when they do they, it seems like their priced like the Airstreams of the trailer world ....

just hope that place stays remote (no names given....) used to be rough old logging roads in, but a few months ago the power company did a number on some of them to get their equipment in, do-able in most anything now- curse or blessing?

Re: post up your camping pics

Here's a link for the roll bar mount I have.

http://stuntcams.com/shop/gopro-hd-r...5ce39ea2fb4056

You can see it comes with a couple of links to add so you can set the camera up square. As far as music with your video, the Gopro software will allow you to import any music you have into your video. Takes a little time to play around with it, but the software is pretty easy to use .

Good Job! The GoPro software is pretty fun to play around with. One thing to watch, depending on the artist you use for the music on your video when you post it on youtube they may edit it for you. Due to copyrights they can strip your chosen music off to avoid having to deal with royalties.

You'll know it's happening as it will stop the process to post the video. It will stop it and advise you and suggest some similar generic music.
