Exactly what I said in post #97.

I still do not have mine running but there are no issues at this point with these cheap headers...

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

Saw it earlier in the thread, but want to verify...why does header wrap ruin headers?
I've never used it but considered it one time...

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

Header wrap will keep things cooler under the hood, but it will also trap condensation against your headers and rot them out quicker. It's just a gimmick if you ask me. If you're concerned about the plug wires burning up, either route them accordingly using wire looms or use some of the individual tubular pieces of header wrap and run the spark plugs through them. It won't look pretty, but it will work.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

Ok that makes sense about the header wrap. I was told once that the wrap would trap more heat in the exhaust increasing the headers efficiency

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

I just ordered a set of coated headers off eBay they where about 215.00 with shipping. They say they will fit angle plug heads. I will let you know how it works out when I get them... Budd

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

I had some from e bay for 150 shipped and they were better than my 350. headman ones. The headmans were junk! The e bay were on my suburban for 7 years and are still on it now with no problems! The only problem was I had to change my dipstick to get them to work,

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

My main concern is getting them to fit with the angle plugs. I know lots of guys on here have the hooker super comps. I will post some pictures when I get them on.... Budd

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

Well I wouldn't give two hoots what the BBB has to say about any company, you have to pay them money to be on their list of "good" business's. Your better off with a google search.

Just found this thread! These seem like a great deal! Has anyone tried the headers below on a 1972 K10?

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

I don't know about the K10 but I found a set of these here for 149 shipped...they are 165.49 shipped now but that's still SUPER cheap for ceramic coated....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Mid-Leng...4dd98d&vxp=mtr

I had to modify my sbc motor mounts and slightly clearance the frame on the passenger side for them to fit, but I've also heard 73-up mounts will work with no mods and those are available for cheap in salvage yards...
