Re: my son (18) wants me to lower my truck ?

The coolest thing about original trucks is that they catch everyone's eye. The purists love the originality and the rodders see a blank canvas and imagine what they would do to it if it were theirs. Once you do one little thing to them, they seem to loose just a little bit of their appeal. There is something special about unmolested trucks.

Re: my son (18) wants me to lower my truck ?

i would just put wheels and tires on it and leave it stock height. Not hard to put it back original that way.

Re: my son (18) wants me to lower my truck ?

front- 2.5" front drop spindles + 1" drop springs
rear - 4" drop springs + 1/2" spacer
15x8 rallies with 275/60-15 BFG rubber all round

Oh...and I agree that truck is too nice.....give him a project! Thats coming from someone who's promised his truck to his grandson for graduation...but he's not 2 yet.

Re: my son (18) wants me to lower my truck ?

A perfect example of a stock lowered truck is rene's gumby which I think in fact raised it's value by bagging it rarther than keeping it stock.
Buy him his own and let him do whatever he wants since you are not into lowered vehicles.

I would buy my son his own and build it the way he wants it lucky for me my 23 year old and i have similar taste on vehicles.
