The flashlight holder on the steering column looks to be in good shape, hang on to that!

Just go to a junk yard and look for the big trucks. Same seats and really common.

I forgot to say that the Cab Over has a different seat with a notch. You want to look at the other big ones.

Re: Oh No It Was An Accident! REALLY!

So can anybody help me figure out why the front bumper bolts don't lineup and why the front bumper is sticking out so far forward. Are the front and rear bumper bracket similar

Re: Oh No It Was An Accident! REALLY!

I don't know for sure, but it looks like the brackets are mounted to the frame backwards. And I seem to remember on my dad's '50 that there was a gravel skirt that filled the space between the grill and bumper.

Re: Oh No It Was An Accident! REALLY!

Yeah there is a filler that goes between the grill and the bumper but from what I've seen there should only be about 4 inches of a gap between the bumper and the grill' mine is sticking out way too far.

Re: Oh No It Was An Accident! REALLY!

Check out this page. Make sure you have the correct year brackets and that yours are front brackets and NOT rear brackets.

If you have any reservation about the money or effort you are willing provide, sell it now and don't look back. Getting this to a drivable condition will be no accident

Re: Oh No It Was An Accident! REALLY!

Looks like you may have front brackets with a rear bumper. The brackets appear to be mounted correctly - long side to the outside. Front brackets are straight where they bolt to the frame & rear brackets have a "dog leg ". Front bumper has a distinct curve where as the rear bumper is flat in the middle.
Hope this helps

Probably a good time to upgrade your membership so you can post wanted and sale ads. It's worth the money just for looking!
