10 axles ain't bad for a 6-71 ! And when the V-12s took over they had 13 axles, now they limit 'em to 11 axles.

Re: GM Semis

That's got to be quite a load there. I look at that picture and wish I was there to watch (and hear) him get those wheels up to speed. It doesn't take much to visualize it. I feel lucky to have lived during those trucks' time

When we would travel back to Virginia going through Pennsylvania back in the 80's and 90's, we would stop at a restaurant that was at the bottom of a long hill. Detroits were everywhere climbing that long hill with full loads. I would always suggest to have lunch there for some reason, lol.

They do exist! (M&M commercial) Seriously, every one of these I see makes me feel happy another exists out there. It gives more hope that one day maybe one could be mine.

It definitely is not original. It looks like one from a pick-up.

Yeah, sign painters are getting to be a rare breed. It is very interesting to watch them work.

That's a good looking load, but No Head Board !!

If he ever had to hit the brakes hard, that whole load would shift forward.

Re: GM Semis

That's pretty good, a John Deere Diesel Engine in a GM Truck.

I've got a GM Diesel Engine in my John Deere Tractor, lol.

Re: GM Semis

I did a little research on the JD powered truck and it seems like very few, possibly only one, was made and they were never marketed to the buying public.
