Re: Project "It's a Jimmy Thing"

I saw your blazer last week going into SW Soule on Sprinkle Rd. I was in my daily driver. It looked very nice...It is just a few miles South of where I work

Yeah I have missed more car shows than I have attended this summer. I missed the VB show for the first time in some 10 years. I was out of town.

Re: Project "It's a Jimmy Thing"

Well the end of another summer. I put about 4,000 miles on the Jimmy this summer with only one problem. The cheap Chinese fuel pump connector on top of the pump hanger failed, melted and shorted. Easy fix, had to pull the tank and i eliminate the connector all together and I hard wired it so this would not happen again.

I snapped a couple of pictures before i put it in the barn for hibernation for the winter. Can't wait until spring!

Re: Project "It's a Jimmy Thing"

I don't drive mine nearly enough. I usually only put a few hundred miles a year on mine. Someday maybe. Lol

Re: Project "It's a Jimmy Thing"

Interested to know which kick panel speaker panel you went with and did it get in the way of the vents, high beam switch or emergency brake pedal? Thanks

I made the kick panel speaker enclosures. Check out page 6 post 143 of my build. I made them to work with the vents and the ebrake pedal. I had to relocate the high beam switch.

Re: Project "It's a Jimmy Thing"

Wow, what a cool build log. I'll be rereading bits and pieces a lot. I'm about to jump into a 5.3 swap but not a truck restoration.

Thanks for sharing your plethora of information.
