Re: I Picked This Up Yesterday
More stuff done on the Panel.
Got a temporary ECM/PCM tuned so I could get the truck running for more than 3 seconds, OBD2 port is in and all under dash connections are finished up. Throttle cable is done, new windshield is installed, & door panels on. I still have a short punch list but I should get it finished up this week. I actually took it out for the first drive yesterday (only a mile) It wouldn't shift and the only gears I had were first and reverse so back to the shop for trouble shooting today. Once I re-installed the wiring from the transmission to computer that I had removed, everything works great...... Not sure why I removed them, the instructions clearly state not to. I take it Tuesday to get the exhaust installed, then on to the alignment shop. Won't be long now.... LockDoc

Re: I Picked This Up Yesterday
They are Flowmaster knockoffs but they are a little longer which tones it down a little more than the Flowmaster 40's.... LockDoc

Re: I Picked This Up Yesterday

I got the alignment done Monday and took it on the maiden voyage. It was only 14 miles but it ran flawlessly. The wife and I drove it to Des Moines yesterday to pick up the carpet and defroster hose kit from my parts guy. (150 mile round trip) Took 2 lane secondary roads going and interstate coming home. Runs great, shifts great, rides great, and has lots of power. How could a guy ask for any more than that.... Now I need to concentrate on paint and interior. LockDoc

Re: I Picked This Up Yesterday
Congrats on the build and round trip. It is always interesting how much jitters one can sometime feel on the first trip, and that relief, excitement and confident when you return ok.

Re: I Picked This Up Yesterday

OK, last update for now. Carpet is in, front and back, wire loom done, re-stitched and installed my maroon visors, 3 point seat belts installed, Glove box door painted and it and GB liner installed, defroster hoses installed, and a fresh coat of light grey primer. I told Mama I wanted it to look good when it was sitting on the side of the road... .. She didn't see any humor in that... Oh, and I had to put a new water pump on the LS1. I ordered it last Friday and it didn't come in until Tuesday. LockDoc

Re: I Picked This Up Yesterday
She probably remembers the last time you pulled that trick. Gee honey, looks like we are having car troubles. Good thing we have that big back seat...
