Re: Calling All Steelies - Caps and Otherwise...

Scored a pair of front 15x6 4-nub 6-lug steelies at the NE Georgia Swap Meet today for $100.

I now have a full set of options for the '62 K10 I'm building: Stockers all the way around if I decide to keep the closed-knuckle drum-brake Dana 44, stockers with 4-nub fronts to clear discs if I decide to run a later disc-brake open-knuckle Dana 44, and a set of 4-nub 15x8 if I decide the pizza cutters aren't cuttin it anymore.

Something about how this truck sits, but those plain wheels look just right.

Those look awesome, which I could find something like that in a 5 lug! I've been searching for any type of steelie in a 5 on 5 17" or 18" but can't seem to find anything that will work. I suppose I could convert the front to 6 lug, but I just bought 5 lug axles for the rear, argh.

They do make 5x5 17" steel. A buddy had a set on his Caprice 9C1.

Perfect, I'll just hold on to the set of 5 lug axles I picked up in case I decide to go that route later.

Re: Calling All Steelies - Caps and Otherwise...

Had these on my 66 when I had my 66 . Old vette caps - could also get em on full size chevs. One of my favorite caps, but gotta admit, I went back and forth between these and the stock c10 caps... liked them a lot too.

Now rvrfoot...you can't just go posting a pic of that bike without an explanation. What is it?

Nice truck by the way. I like the flatbed.
