Its looking good Rick! I've thought about painting my glove box door like you did or having someone airbrush a mural on it when the time comes. What type of paint did you use on the body?

Alright Rick, way to go. Is that a driveway special paint job or did you have it done? Either way it looks good to have one color now when you take out. Well done, sir.

Well I just built brackets today to mount the front sway bar on this truck and I will be installing those as well as redoing the exhaust on this truck here pretty soon

I just read your build thread and like what you have done. Not every truck has to be built better than new. I just picked up a 72 K10 and plan on doing a budget build myself. Keep us posted on your progress.

Re: build thread " 4 by" 68 custom camper 4wd 1/2ton
Well some pics of the truck! I will agree with what most of you guys are thinking.... The engine bay is just BUTT UGLY. But I have been attacking it little by little, I do a little then I come back after a couple weeks look if there's anything else I can mess with or clean up...so here's some pics of the new air cleaner (well new to the truck) I put on I like the 67 style better looks more oldschool... Also painted the edelbrock letters red on the intake thought that looked better. And I also painted the fender and door emblems since they were a little faded. Can only post a pic at a time so bare with me...

Re: build thread " 4 by" 68 custom camper 4wd 1/2ton
So sometime before my dad got the truck in 2000/2001 one of the PO put a second manual heater shut off valve in along with the factory vacuum powered heater shut off valve, and well it looked nasty and so today I noticed I had some new heater hose left over from my 67 and it was even Goodyear made in America! So I went ahead and cut it to size and took the manual heater **** off valve and hoses out and put in the single heater hose line to the intake, a lot more simple and cleaner. Also tidied up the wiring a bit if there were looser wires running to the same location I zip tied them together to clean it up a bit.... However I didn't get pictures of that or how it looked after I scrubbed down the passenger heater hoses, inner fender, ac box and everything so tomorrow I'm promising you guys pics of what it looks like clean. But hey can't keep the 4wd clean all the time right?!
