Re: And so it begins................

Ok, another long day. The 72 broke down this morning when I got to the jobsite and I had to get a ride back to the house to get the 4x4. Had things to do at the youngest boys school, changes to make in the layout at work, a lawyer to visit with, a truck to pull home, a birthday party to get lined out for tomorrow, grass to mow, and now I'm gonna go crawl under this pickup and see if I broke a flywheel or if the torque converter came loose. So, wish me luck and for pete's sake, someone fix me a brandy..................

Man now you got me bummin cuz I'm not at the camper.

Anyway, it could have been difficult or it could have been one loose bolt............... it was one loose bolt. Thank god.

It happened so fast that I thought it was a fracture in the flywheel but one of the torque converter bolts backed out almost all the way and was hitting the block. If the rain hadn't stopped me from putting those 2 starter bolts back in, I'd be done!!!!!

I'll be back in fast lane again tomorrow!! If I can't sleep again, I'll get the flashlight out and I'll be back in the fast lane again tonight.

Wow, that sounds like a massive project. I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Yeah I can probably use all that stuff. I did have the original green steering wheel but it was all busted up so I canned it and got me an old style grant!
