Wrap them individually in cellophane (sp??) and ship them on Greyhound. That would probably be pretty cheap

I would pay for the boxes and shipping. If you think it would be easier to take the tires off the rims I would pay for that as well. Let me know. My zip is 37043. thelonerife

Your Truck Looks Great! Shows what someone can do when they take their time and have patience. Really like some of the subtle mods you have made. And the blower is way cooler than a new fuel injected motor any day! Love the noise they make and as you stated...The low end torque is unbeatable!
I need to start a thread soon when mine gets further along.

Thanks!.....I like the little supercharger and all, but there's still a part of me that wants to put in a 6.0 LS motor with a 6 speed......just seems like it would be a little more "drivable" and easier on $3+ a gallon fuel!

this truck is so perfect it makes me sad to look at my beat up 71 rust bucket lol but what can i say i love my pile of rusty bolts.I just hope that someday mine looks as good as this one...mine is ripped apart right now due to a bad lifter that wiped out the cam lobe...so im swapping cams and replacing the lifters and also swapping over to a performer intake and holley carb..but keep up the progress...keeps me going cause right now im pretty pissed at mine...good work

They all start somewhere. Mine was pretty clean to start with, but I've had others that were far from ideal.....and BTW, I'm pretty pissed at mine after working on it today and getting nowhere trying to figure out some electrical gremlins!!

18's all the way around with 8" (4" bs) up front and 9.5" (4.5" bs) in the rear. Tires are 255/50 and 275/55.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Been working on the sound system. The PO hacked the doors pretty good so I decided to make a plate and mount my components in the doors. Gonna have to make some kick panels with some integrated speaker grills....should be fun! Also working on a sub box and back panel to mount the amp.

Also got my tranny cooler installed. between this and the Pan (Derale with cooling tubes) I hope the tranny stays cool enough, I'm going to get a tranny temp gauge just to make sure.

BTW....my exhaust is discolored cuz I put some "hi temp" clear on before I put it back on. It's burned all the way off where the exhaust has gotten hot enough.....gonna have to sand the rest off!

Also finally put an air filter on it. I really wanted to come up with something different, but I gave in and bought with K&N setup. I really wanted some type of cold air setup, but not only did I not have many options for intake, I'm not real fond of the "clothes dryer exhaust" for intake tubes. I was also concerned about CFM. the lid is real close to the hood when closed.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

For a tranny cooler I went with the B&M remote mount w/ fan and mounted it in the same spot. I have a temp gauge and I had to beat the sh!t out of my truck (power brake, hard launches) for almost 45min to get the tranny to kick the fan on (180*). I have towed heavy loads and done a few 300 mile trips and never a problem. So if yours does not do it for you look into the B&M I put on LowBuck.
So were are the motor pics??? One of these days I will have to cruse up the road and check your truck out it is a work of art!

Thanks Mike.......just something about a RAT....don't get rid of it. that litte blower on mine small block just makes it think it's a big block!

BTW.....work of art is stretching it, but it sure is a labor of love or some type of mental disorder!

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Finally got around to building a little sub box with a shallow 10" Pioneer. Gonna mount the amp just left of the box.

Never built one before and it turned out pretty nice.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Looks good! I am glad you posted today, I was going to look you up other wise. When I was headed back from Woodland yesterday I saw a truck like yours color wise and shine on a trailer heading up 505 as I was headed down. As it went by I noticed the entire front end was about 2+' feel shorter than it should have been and I was hopping it was not you or if it was that everyone was OK.
