Which line provides the backlighting like that? Much better than autometers backlighting.

mine are just the normal 'speedhut' line.

All lines I believe use the same lighting system. (mine has a seperate lighting transformer and dimmer for the backlighting and then another lighting voltage had to be applied directly just for the needles.)

Worth every penny to customize exactly what I wanted (gauge font, color, backlighting color, needle color, trim ring color etc.

2 weeks out probably. Still have to button up ALOT of stuff (exhaust, trans cooling, trans gauge sending etc etc etc) plus burp the system, oil change, safely wash down the headers (greasy hands on new ceramic headers = bad things happen first time they get hot and become junk)

Still have to wire up radiator fans, alternator charging line, some relay wiring under the hood, check rear diff, u joints, a final torque on the 'important things' etc etc.

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx

Nice Work How do you like fit and finish on the radiator? I have one in the box waiting on it's turn to jump on the truck. Your truck looks good and thanks for taking the time to post all of your work. I am fix'n to start my LS3 E-rod swap in a few days and your post will be used as a reference. I have those same Speed Hut's in my 67 nova and you are right they are very nice. After having a GPS speedo I wound not fool with a cable again. Oh....Would you mind sharing some info on your hoses for the radiator?

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx

Got the recirculating coolant overflow tank mounted up behind the grill and finished up plumbing transmission cooler lines tonight. In order to access the coolant overflow yes I'll have to remove the front passenger side coverplate (6 1/2" bolts I think?) Kept everything clean under the hood I thought and looks okay/good from the front. Enjoy

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx

OMG it sounds fantastic. So excited to hear it fire up. Love how it just purrrrs like something modern, but still has that nice grunt when you rev it.

And I am in love with those gauges. Definitely ordering from those guys when it comes time.

Awesome work buddy.

Sounds great. Would appear your tach is off? I thought I saw 6-7k a few times, but the engine sounded more in the 3k range.

Yup.. fixed. It was displaying 8 pulses/rev...

Should be only displaying 4 pulses/rev. First drive I didn't bother pre-calibrating it as the ECM for the LS swap only puts out 4 pulses/rev.

Its x2 off... but now fixed.
