A double shear tabbed connection is plenty strong for a strut tower bar. No lathe or mill needed to make those.

I have been running this type of connection on transmission crossmembers for 25 years in all kinds of drag cars & muscle cars with no failures.

Well there's your answer - fab up a mill and a lathe first!

Are you going to have a staircase in the trunk that ends at the roof?

Hah, thanks man That one has been on CL for a while now ...sad. I've actually been offered a Minx Estate free from a guy in CA. Would love to have one. Just can't justify it right now. Not even for free with the cost of transport.

Great job on the build!!

Not sure if you're past your strut bar clearance issue, but these could help....

1" tube joints would look really trick in there.

Thanks Jeff. Those are sweet. I'll have to look for another use for them. I decided to scrap the rear bar/brace. Gotta get this thing done!

So I finished the lateral shock tower brace:

More debug pay-off; the brake pedal needed a few upgrades. The cover was added to keep the wiring harness off the lever (moving parts). Nuts welded on to ease installation. Bracket installed to provide additional support. Not shown is the pedal moved to the left to provide more go-pedal room:

Probably would be a better to just buy a viper. I know its about the build and creating something from the imagination, but I doubt the car will function or perform anywhere near what the stock viper would.

Nice job on the pedal fix and cross brace.

Actually, Yes I did. Had just found out my cousins wife died last night. Hit me pretty hard. We were like brothers growing up and I've known her since she was in high school and they started dating. Our kids are in the same age bracket and my heart was breaking for him.
