Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Thanks guys! Stay tuned we are working on 80 more cubic inches of bullet. I killed the 468 at the end of June last year. The 468 had been around a long time.

Here is mine. 70 long bed with a 350 combo. Going to eventually bag it with a 327 and 2004r trans. Not much after that just keeping it really simple and clean, and will be my daily driver.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

DJracer: that truck is amazing, the sound is amazing, and a 9.16 ET on 10.5" tires in a truck.... Very very nice. wanna teach me how to build a motor/drive line combination that delivers results like that? lol j/k just like they said... it sounds very healthy... can't wait to see and hear how your new bullet performs. Just for the record, a friend of my father has a 1966 chevelle with a 632CI Dart Big "M" All out race motor(893hp on motor alone), with a 400 hp shot of juice, with 13.5" tires, full 4-link and a Currie Fab 9" and many fiberglass panels... and he is still trying to break the 9.40's and yes it does stick down the entire track... so you are definately doin somthing right!

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Thanks for the props. Something sounds strange about the chevelle unless its way heavy. I had a 67 camaro that ran almost as fast as my truck without nitrous. It was lighter and had the same 468 short block injected on alcohol. It ran 9.20 at 143mph.

They don't look bad....not original of course but I guess it's a matter of what you want. If you decide to lose the stripes, I would lose the hood ornament while you're at it. That's just me tho.

Well if you're gonna sell it then my answer is different. Let the next owner worry about it. If you take the hood ornament off, you are going to have to do something with the hole in the hood (assuming it's bolted on) and if you are gonna paint over the stripes you're going to eat into your profit margin quite a bit I would think. The truck looks pretty good from the pics...If it were me and I were going to sell it, I would ship it as is.
