A jigsaw. I cut the original lens out and used the one that came with the tach. The white around the edge is some 12 or 14 gauge
wire with the ends cut on the bias and pressed in with a touch of glue.

The logo is my motorcycle "club"...a sticker reduced on th e printer, cut out and glued to the black face of the aftermarket tach.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I fixed my squeaky clutch pedal - I ended up having to pull the dash to get at the top hinge, but it doesn't squeak now - very nice.

thanks, when my son and I did his we left the original lens untouched and at times it seems distracting.

installed the rear bags and lines, aired it up and set it on the ground. then i moved the jack stands to the front, so i can tear it apart in the next couple of days or so to do the front bag and drop spindle install. also installed the chrome exhaust tips.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Changed out water pump due to bad bearing, and turns out the water pump was for a 69 corvette??? brought old one with me and matched up. Replaced while it hailed on me on Saturday night...and replaced both belts. Need to replace pump pulley since that happens to be the cause of my screech when I rev it. After work it will be replaced. And then put it all back together. oh yeah...got the driver door to lock now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Replaced my heater blower, since it wouldn't work while working in Louisianna for a month, while they had the rainiest/coldest Jan on record. Fogged up windows the whole time. Checked fuses, switch, voltage at blower connector, all good. Replaced motor, No work. Tapped the ground wire above motor with screw driver, works great. Anyone need a 40 yr old working blower motor. Also installed my licence plate frame to rear sport bumper. Still need to buy light for it. CHeck your grounds. Jim.

Don't forget to post pics of your cut out. I'll be doing the same on mine and want to see what'll work. I've seen folks cut out a hole in the outside edge too.

oh for sure i will be posting pics, will most likely, (later), run the valves right directly at the bag port, and the line straight into that with no elbows lol. can you say fast haha.

edit: ah i have seen that too, but it wont work for me lol. that and i am trying to be a little different

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

looked at a 67 chevy parts truck that a guy is parting out and is going to let me have the front end sheet metal for only $50! so my 72 gmc will get the nice sleek look of a 67.
