With dual cylinders you have separate brake lines for front and back brakes systems.
It has less chance of having all the brakes quit if a leak happens. Better hydraulic pressure to the wheel cylinders means it stops better faster and possibly less knots on your head in the future.

We are only overpaid when we have work , and work is kinda slow these days...

Sad thing is I never touched the brakes. Maybe a new windshield would help. Something in a x3

Re: Daverods project 66

dont think those wouldve made the stopping better at such a short distance but it does make things safer against tumping full strenght on the brakes one day at any speed and have the single master cylinder fall and the pedal move to the floor without any stopping happening ( allways happens at the worse possible moment ) , maibe 3 point seatbelts too to protect the noggin from hitting the wheel again ?

It was only 30 well plus the 50 in extra bull. Love the monkey. I've got my own monkey, but the only thing he does is tackle things. Rod run Jackson Hole June 10,11,12.

Re: Daverods project 66

Dave, I know i am a long way from you (Texas) but i have access to a complete 65 with a pretty decent front clip. I am not sure what he is asking for it but it probably wouldn't be much. I can check on it if you like.

Re: Daverods project 66

Thanks Zack I think the gas would kill me. I missed one at the junk yard for 400 the other day. Made me sick. Had everything I needed. It was a tractor puller like truck still had the weights in the bumper. Had R and P and about 6 of those steering u joints on it.

Dave, I will pull it and arrange shipping for you. I can band it all to pallets and put some in boxes to get it shipped. The shipping would not be bad since i have a friend who owns a company and does a bunch of shipping with UPS. I wouldn't charge you anything to pull and package. If you like i can go take some pics fo the clip tomorrow and email them to you.
