Worst case you can move the perches to where you need them to use the s10 leafs.

Re: AD Truck Project
I was kinda thinking about doing something like that. I have the s10 rear end I could use out back, and then somehow out a rearend up front, just good enough for it roll.
Another option is we have a front crossmember out from under a 51ish chevy car that we could maybe tack or chain to the front of the frame.

Re: AD Truck Project
I am tired of things setting me back on this truck, so I managed to get the rearend in my truck and taking it down to my folks. Who says a lowered truck can function as a real truck lol. Not sure If I can get it under the truck this weekend, but at least it is something small I can mark off the list. A bunch of small things eventually equal some real progess.... um right?

Re: AD Truck Project
I have two pics to post tomorrow, nothing special. The rearend is under it good enough to move it. The 52 car crossmember idea will not work, it is too narrow. I am going to try and find a stock front end I can borrow long enough to move it.

Re: AD Truck Project
Temporary placement. When we work on it for real, it will be centered properly.

Re: AD Truck Project
No progress on my truck. I did get some welding practice on my dads 52 chevy sedan. I finished most of the welding on the drivers side rocker panel, and making a small piece for the front of it. Then we noticed that some previous work that had been done by someone else was going to cause problems. They had replace some metal in the floor and just over lapped it. They did this right at the edge of the rocker. The repaired area what quite a bit higher and the sill plate would not lay flush. So, I cut out a piece and flattened out the big bump. Then made a piece to fill it in. Nothing spectacular, but definitely good practice to get my confidence up. No pics of said work. So, it may have never happened!

Re: AD Truck Project
I still have scars on my legs from welding in shorts as a kid. At the time looked like I had been peppered with a shotgun. (had that happen once too, learned you don't steal farmers pumpkins on halloween, luckily it was just rock salt but scared the poo out of me and my friends).
