glad I could help! its funny how some people love this color and others cant stand it. My father hates the colors on my truck, but I imagine that will change with all the trim and wheels mounted!

Re: 72 c-10 shorty

well it took awhile, but my tires finally showed up at kal tire today! of course its a long weekend, so I will test my patience and go the weekend without them, have a close friend that works there so hes going to mount the rubber up for me so some kid doesnt mess up the rims. To say Im excited would be an under statement. just waiting on my a-arm bushings and Im ready to tear this sucker apart and get it on its new rolling attire. not pumped even alittle bit! lol

That truck is looking sweet! I hate to admit this, but I've never even thought about bolting a tranny to an engine stand to work on it. Now I know. Thanks!

Yeah it will change once he sees it all finished. I have always loved Orange on any vehicle but really looks amazing on our trucks. I'm undecided on hugger orange or your color for mine. My dad has a 40 Chevy Pickup that is hugger orange that looks really really nice but I also like the Tangier Orange that you have. Ah decisions decisions lol.

I love the hugger orange as well. but the way I looked at it, it wasnt a factory color for my truck, which I was some what restoring when I began this little adventure.lol not to mention theres alot of muscle cars around here running in hugger orange. If I was to start again I would do a red and black two tone instead, but trusting my first gut feelings.

got to do a little work on the right box side today. got all my welding finished up and paid a friend to sandblast the side last night for me so today after working at the dealership I can start body working the side and perhaps some primer in the near future.lol all my box parts should be here early next week.would be cool to get them painted and assembled, but so short on time right now.

Re: 72 c-10 shorty

Any tips on sandblasting in the area? I called a couple places and either nobody does it, they dont know who can do it or they cant give me any idea of what they can do or when.
I just want my control arms / swing arms done while I have them apart.

got my stainless brake lines, booster with master, all my a-arm bushings yesterday. just waiting on my rear diff bearing kit and e-brake lines and Im ready to tear this sucker down and get it all together and running. torn on the exhaust, the exhaust shop wants 850 plus parts to do a steel exhaust and I can order a complete stainless kit for 630 and another 200 for stainless headers. not much thought to invest on this one!lol

If you want to try to fab your exhaust, I got my kit from Speedway Motors for $140.00. It is 2 1/2" aluminized with all mandrel bends. It is a nice kit. I have about $350.00 invested in the kit, spintech mufflers, hangers and por-20 high temp exhaust paint.
