Re: project (sweet pea)

Today was a good day....Got all the sheet metal mocked up and got the lines i am happy with at the moment. Was not to bad... only had the hood off about 6 times and some mods to the driver side fender to close the cowl to fender gap.....and i did have to enlarge the passenger side lower door hinge to get a line.....that in my eyes is to be expected......Everything went really smooth..............until i fit the passenger side rocker and cab corner........Rocker needs the typical slice in the front to line up with the doors....it angles in at the front.....The cab corner was a complete different story all together.....COMPLETE JUNK is an understatement .I bought these at a swap meet a few years back for like 5 bucks a side i think.....None the less They got the better deal....The driver side was easy fit really no mods.....But the passenger side (which still is not finished) took about 2 hours to get into some what of a usable state....Just a lot of fitting that i would rather not have to do ...........None the less here are some photos of todays work. i will be back on it in the Am....and get the cab corner done......Name: driver.JPG

Re: project (sweet pea)

nice build, just stumbled accross this thread....

few questions...
1. what alternator did you go with? original or something that won't require an external reg?
2. Did you have to use all the patch panels that you hadlaid out? It looked like a few where duplicates (floor with inner rocker, plus inner rocker pieces??)

thanks... keep up the good work, I'll be using some of you pics when I start on my floor next month...

Re: project (sweet pea)

today was mowing day for me. I love that green, it's pretty similar to the color I'm looking at for mine. I can't wait to see yours painted and together, it'll be like getting progress done on mine, only not

Re: project (sweet pea)

If we combined both trucks one of us would be happy, and one of us would be truckless
