Re: my build

not much getting done, get the windows all figured out all i need is 2 more peices of setting tape to go in the sash because the ones that came with it are in 7 or 8 peices
getting my lisense wensday and it's pretty safe to say it's not going to be done by then.
i think were going to move the truck back to the shop, because there is way more room there and more tools, and when we work there more work tends to get done
thats about it for now, hopefully next week the front fenders will be painted and the bed will be back together.

Re: my build

glad to hear ya got the windows squared away man!

it always seems the minor little gremlins always take the most time.

and no worries on the liscense. just don't rush the build to drive it because you got your lisc. Not saying you would, but i'd hate to see a great looking build like this end up kind of haphazardly thrown together, just because of some anxiousness.

still looking good as always man, keep at 'er.

-Sam.

Re: my build

thanks sam

well not much has been getting done as you can tell. but i went out today and finished wiring up the gauges and pretty much decided that i am going to trash that cover, so my dad got some aluminum and cut out the holes for it and put a bowtie in the middle of it, i will get pictures of it when he brings it home from work
the front fenders and hood WILL be painted by the end of next week, even if i have to paint them myself.
and thats it for now

Re: my build

thanks RCbowtie

very little progress latley...i think my dads starting to loose intrest so scense i got my lisense friday i drove down to the shop and put some more bondo one one of the fenders and its ready to primer and the other one is new so its ready for primer, then i got the hood pretty smooth but it still needs some work.
put some small stuff on the truck like all the glove box bumpers, ashtray bumpers all that stuff
tomorrow im going to try and get the locks and the outside door handle hooked up and maybe go get some mirrors for er.

Re: my build

well today i took the top radatior supports off and painted them again because they looked like crap.
then dad got home and he came up with the bright idea of using silicone to hold the windows in insted of that rubber crap.
so we went to a boat store and bought some "marine grade silicone".
so i guss we will see tomorrow if his idea will work or not.

Re: my build

the only thing i got donw today was put the glove box lock and retainer on, so now i can close something on the truck and not have to worry about it flinging back open and chipping more paint off

Re: my build

well the windows are offically done, so thats one less worry
I think i want to lower the truck somemore. maybe get a drop spindle and cut a coil or 2 in the rear to make it a 4-6 drop then get some shock relocators and then it will be perfect.

you cant cut rear coils. they are tapered aat bolth ends, but.. you can use lowering blocks.

what is the tint on the windows. is that the one peice kit that comes tinted or did you have them tinted? . that looks just like how i want them on my 68.
