oh boy trim on your truck would be sweet! its EASY i drilled all the tailgate holes by setting the trim against it and making the clips scratch where the holes should be then i eye balled where i though the hole shouls be and whalla! perfect!

no you will need the ones tha are alot bigger around 2 inces tall the ones pictured are about 3/4 inch tall they only go for tail light and tailgate trim.

thanks drilling and grinding i am pretty good i have done all of the holes by eye balling and just a measurement or two.

Looking great man! I think on my upper mouldings on my bed I might use stick on aftermarket type clips since my bed has no holes and the trim I have is not the best.

ryan the trim on your truck is a little different, it only has a hole or 2 in front of the bed and then only 2 holes in the back , all the way down the baed side is just little plastic and double side sticky pads same for the doors

for just the cab left and right you need 4 clips but just for one side you need 2.

haha i need the metal housing ring and badge for the light and a new bulb.

as for progress i got my cab brace from CG (mark) and i sanded and primed and painted heres some pics

Nice brace! Thanks for the tip on my trim clips. It's almost like cheating not having to drill holes.

haha thanks, yes it is cheating 67 and 68-9 they were still old school about it, if it was trim on the body itwas holes and clips! 70 72 they were putting so much trim there would be tomany holes! so they put double sided tape and very few clips.

I have a bulb (that works) a decent (i guess) trim ring, and a the 'unity' badge is there.

Now swap me that tire carrier for the spot dangit

So what're some more longterm goals for the truck (hopefuly you get it running/driving soon lol

haha i still havent been able to ask the guy about the spare tire carrier which sucks because i walk by the bed that has it everytime im there!
