Thanks for the support, looks like it paid off. Appreciate that, thanks. GOOD NEWS!! Unburied the blazer Sunday, drilled the frame for the engine cross member's new 1" forward location and installed the enging/drivetrain again to check fit, placement & what I wanted to do for the tranny/t-case mounting set up. (decided I didn't like nor want to use the stock cross member) The tall 241 mount was unnecessary IMO, so I pulled out the 241 and changed it back to the stock one. (a lot shorter) Plans right now are to fab up a 1" DOM version that will barely hang below the frame rails. Took an air hammer to the floor while it was open to clearance it for the clocked up 241, worked good and provided and nice rounded hump that will never be noticed under the passengers seat. |

Re: Project: Agent Orange
Thanks, been checking out your BB project, nice work. Came across some old pics of this project that offered up a true reality check. Where it all started and how long it's taken to get it to where it is... |

Best way to get all those question's answered Jim is to contact Lizard Skin directly, their very helpful IMO. http://www.lizardskin.com/pages/sound_control.php Very low oder & cleans up with water are two very good reason's I went with it. I like it, would use it again. |

Re: Project: Agent Orange
I was looking at the pictures of the engine mount and crossmember, do you think if you flipped it 180* (right to left and left on right) the offset would put the engine in the right location?

Good idea but it won't work that way, the cross member brace has an angle where it bolts to the 'c' section that slips into the frame rails. Flipping it around changes the angles so much that it doesn't even fit between the frame rails anymore, let alone line up with the factory holes. Drilling the extra set of holes in the frame isn't bad at all with a long bit and the open access. |
