Took it out to an autocross with the local Porsche club chapter. I had a blast out there!

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Canyon Blue and Olympic White, I like this shade better than the Varsity Blue from '60 - I felt it was too dark for my taste.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Mid year 1960, and all year 1961. I have the paint chips card somewhere. The pain ship in Mississippi was able to do a direct match from the old paint code. I have no metallic in it.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Had a productive weekend working on the truck.
New speedo gear and housing, new speedo cable, Finished aftermarket gauge wiring and installation, New fuel lines, PO ran rubber throughout the truck New shocks all the way around New rear coils (stock height) PO had melted the old ones to lower the truck. Also had to weld in a new base for the passenger coil due to some rust. Need to put on a parking brake and should be road ready. |

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
I finally finished my engine....406 cubic inch, scat crank, eagle 5.7 rods,
9.1 Keith Black pistons, comp cams 256 xe, gm vortec heads, edelbrock rpm intake, 700r4, 3.73 12 bolt gears. I built this engine for strong low end and mid range torque and to run on regular gas because the premium is so expensiive and will keep increasing I am sure. I will know soon if my patriot ceramic headers for a camaro will fit. I have 2 1/2 exhaust and Dynomax mufflers. Hoping for a strong running street truck to drive anywhere. |

I have decided the back ground looks better the fawn color instead of the black. Changed all the bulbs to number 1895 which are brighter than the 57s. Extended all the wires to make it easy to pull the cluster when needed. After I make sure all is working will install in the dash. |

I think some of you are posting in the wrong thread. This is the With Your Truck thread not the To Your Truck thread.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
What did I do WITH my truck? I drove it to work today. These 50+ year old vehicles are like old men, they have good days and bad days. Ol' Blue must have liked the oil change and lube job last weekend, cause today was a good day.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Spent some good time with the Truck Saturday Morning from 9a-3p at the Lions Club International Touch a Truck in Slidell. This is a great way for kids to get the itch for the hobby of old vehicles.
The kids were excited, the parents were nervous and the owner was calm- how much could they do - it went under 11' of water already! Hopefully, a few kids caught the itch. Smiles all around! I have a ton more pictures, but did not want to clog up the bb.
