Re: Senior Project Build

Great looking project! Of course I kept the FI for the ease of computer tuning with the turbos when they come around.

But the plumbing system and pump isn't cheap by any means!

Do the carb, I think if you know how to tune them, they can make plenty of power.

What cam specs you looking at? Those L92 heads can flow something rediculous!

Good luck!

Re: Senior Project Build

I don't know about the cam, have any good ideas? I am planning to call COMp, tell them my specs and see if they have a grind of the shelf or maybe get a custom one made. I am looking for the most radical I can run on the street, even if I have to shift into neutral at stop lights =]

Let me do some research. There are plenty of nasty combos out there, you just will have to run a nice size stall.

Re: Senior Project Build

The Billet Holley HP fuel pump and regulator came in today. It is a nice looking piece! Very solid and heavy.

And I picked up the ET Streets! Massive for sure. They are so cool. I will get them mounted on the Halibrands as soon as Les Schwab opens.

Sweet...I see Santa Claus is making several stops at your house!

I just ordered that book from Amazon. I want to get familiar as I can with the motor before diving in to the swap.

Re: Senior Project Build

What do you mean "wait" for the rain? Its pouring here lol. By the time I get the new motor combo installed it will be dry here in Oregon =]

I threw it on the QuickCar scales today, was pleasantly surprised at the weight. 3676 lbs. with no driver, 3862 with my friend sitting in the drivers seat.

Re: Senior Project Build

What motor are you pluging in? After looking at your picture from the other post I think I like the center caps that came with our rims more than I though I would. If I find some cheap used american racing caps I will change them over but not for $120. STill waiting.......

Re: Senior Project Build

Ya I couldn't justify spending that much just for caps. These ones look good IMO. I am planning a built 6.0 Gen III with L92 heads and a carb. My goal is 550 HP to the crank.

Oh and my old set of ralleys and tires weighed in at 197 lbs. total, the new set of wheels and tires weighs in at 169 lbs. so I get to save weight at the same time

Re: Senior Project Build

I plan on doing the 6.0l myself but with fuel injection and not quite as much HP. I will be following your build on that one. Cut 30lbs. of fat, not bad!
