Re: Project Cod Fish
LIL update: Eb is working on the cab and windows, we are having some issues with the one piece windows from opp. I am glad I have eb to work them out... I dont think they would have turned out so well if not I will post some Pics when he gets closer.... Meanwhile I have been working on the front clip. I blasted the support, grill and hood down to bare metal the fenders were good. The hood will need alil attention but nothing Eb can't fix. I will be taking the clip up to Eb to fit and line up so it will be strait and ready.

Re: Project Cod Fish
Yea guys I got the cab home and i must say Eb did a great job. My best friend is doing the body work on the cab... not that there is much to do. I actually spent a couple days with Earl at his shop and I was amazed at how easy he made it look. He really knows these trucks. He is a great guy and his family was really good to me during my visit.... Had some of the best ribs, and asian food I ever ate. I will post some pics when i get it back next week from my friend. I am really excited at this point cause it is all starting to come together and will be the best truck I have ever built.

Awesome project! I really like the custom sheetmetal work on the cab. You must be working overtime to pay Eb the magician. Now post some more pics!

Re: Project Cod Fish
Ok project has taken a little turn....... I sold the power plant I was planning on putting just cuz the guy "had to have it" which means I got an insane amount of money for it. That being said 68 short step is helping me put together a 6.0 ls motor that will be plenty of power to move the old fish down the road. I will be posting pics real soon as all the body work is done on cab just getting ready to jamb it all out. My buddy and I have been spending alot of time blocking and priming and blocking and priming and blocking and priming and....... you get the point this is gonna be one strait truck.

Re: Project Cod Fish
here are a few pics and specs of the engine/tranny.... its a 04
5.3/4L60E with only 9xxx miles (not a typo its 9,586 mi. engine).... its was a bit dusty when i picked it up, but internally it was spotless....the tranny was also in great shape... took the pan off to check the magnet in the pan, and it was clean....also replaced the filter while in there....anyways here are a few pics of it getting worked over. |
