That is a cool tanker, love the split front windshield, too bad they don't do anything like that today.

The whole front of his shop is covered in Sinclair signs and gas pumps. I will try to get better pics of the truck next time I'm down that way.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

Mine is originally painted white and the previous owner painted it black. I'd like to sand the top of the cab back to white and go from there, is this possible to do right?

Yes, but wet sand and start off with a fine paper, and be real easy. If the po didn't sand the original finish way down before painting, it might uncover pretty good.

1968 C 20, 292, 3 speed trans. -- This has been my family's farm truck since 1972, and passed on to me after 40 years -- The name on the side is the first owner's -- Everything is original, it was always parked in a garage and was GM dealership maintained -- Still reliable!

Here's our 1970 that came off a ranch. Rode hard and put up wet might be the best way to describe her.

Thanks! I've got a 71 swb with 5 lugs. I think those would look great on it! I appreciate the response...

Saw this 56 yesterday, was just bought in Saskatoon Sk. Canada last weekend and brought home to sit beside his real nice (under the tarp) 69 GM 2wd.
