Oh man does that look sweet.

A guy I know from the Avalanche forum put an '03 Avalanche body on an '05 2500 HD frame but this build has him beat by a mile. Drew, you rock!

I went back and added it up:

1. 2001 Blue 2wd GMC Sierra frame and trans.
2. 2002 Black 4wd Chevy Silverado engine, wiring, axle, engine accessories, radiator, A/C, Misc interior buttons/electronics.
3. 2003 Red Chevy Silverado front leather seats (I swapped in my crummier 2002 leather into that truck and sold it).
4. 2005 White GMC Yukon XL Denali full exhaust system.
5. 1972 Yellow Suburban
6. 1972 Blue and white C-10 Cheyenne rear cab.
7. 1972 Green C-10 Cheyenne rear glass, metal jamb plate with papers, tailgate hinges and straps.

My shocks and new bag hats are ready for the front. (Hmmmm, what's in the new box underneath?)

Yes I remembered to fix the broken manifold bolt.

New and improved (shorter) steering shaft. Only the lower portion is new, I was able to keep the earlier fabrication to connect old column to new rack and pinion.

man, those hats are HUGE! Used to seeing the ones on stock frames people cut down to 5/8" high

Where is Abe Lincoln?

Yes they do look like 7 inch top hats. On my newer frame it is not as easy to just put a plate over the spring pocket like you can on the old frames, plus the springs are longer on the new style trucks so the pocket is even taller.
