Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I went for a drive last night and when I got home I realized that I had sprung a hole in the radiator. I pulled the radiator and put it in the other truck so that I can take it in to the shop and get it fixed. I sure hope that I don't have to but a new radiator!

Got some power steering pump brackets and a two groove water pump pulley in the mail. Degreased, sandblasted and painted them.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I finally had a chance to install my front sway bar from CPP. The only part I didn't like about the kit was that it comes with plated bolts, I changed them all to stainless.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

After 7 years of ownership I have finally been able to put some work into it...
Not quite how I had wanted to go about things but cant use the shop I had planned to do a complete tear down in.

Starting with complete front to back suspension rebuild from CPP.
Got the tie rods in place and front shocks.

The rest to go on soon. Getting some much appreciated help and advice from member Yukon Ratrod.

couple pics.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Spent the last few days making and welding up a notch cover, welded nuts in bed so I could still remove the cover for access, and started making bolt in inner fenders. Should have them done before I leave friday morning for a car show weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Finally found a good used gas tank at the junkyard. I took it out of a 68 C/30. Then cleaned up and repaired the brackets on the seat from my 70 GMC parts burb and put it all in the truck. Here's before and after pics.
Before

and After

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Rebuilt the carb on my wifes 66 mustang. Bought a starter heat shield from summit for my 67 , installed it. What a PITA! Took 3 hours. Took it out, attached the shield, put it in, won't bolt up, took it out massaged the shield, put it back. Still won't bolt up, took it out, cut both lower corners off, compressor starts to smoke and dies, finish with a jig saw. Put it back in. Fire it up.

Got my 3 groove pulley for my power steering conversion today. Can't sandblast it now cause my compressor is toast. But it was a good day. Both cars are still drivable so it was a successful day.

Looking really good, Is that a quick fuel carb your running? I was at Doug Herberts new shop and he was selling them for around $500, I don't know much about them, have you ran them before and how well are they?
